"We stayed at The Olde Bell for one night and we were very kindly given an upgrade to a gorgeous luxury room overlooking the lovely garden. The room was very spacious and nicely decorated with a free standing bath in the room as well as a large walk in shower in the bathroom. The staff were all very friendly, dinner was good and breakfast was fantastic. This is also such a good value historical hotel in a gorgeous village. We will definitely be back - this is our second stay. "

St Mary the Virgin, Weston Turville This church is well away from the village and is surrounded on three sides with open fields and it is interesting to note that nearby Wendover parish church is on the outer edge of the town, Drayton Beauchamp Parish Church only has the Old Rectory for company, and Stoke Mandeville's old parish church (now demolished) was in a wood completely surrounded by fields. It makes one wonder if all four places have moved their centres since the churches were built in medieval times. The church itself was constructed in the 13th and 14th century, with a 15th century tower, although the Norman font points to an earlier date for a church on the site. "There was no bar and no restaurant despite website advertising the property had both, which was very disappointing as that was our reason for choosing this location. Building is sadly very run down, as were bedrooms. Bathroom was damp and bath felt as if it was going to fall through the floor if it was filled with water. Bed was clean and comfortable, shower was pleasant with lots of hot water. Hotel has lots of potential and I hope it is refurbished soon to realise this. It was OK for the cheap room rate, but disappointing for advertised amenities to not be available. "
