"We had an issue with the shower coming on & not having hot water in the kitchen. There was a valve that was shut off & we could not figure it out so we contacted the property owner & they had someone come out & fix it that day. The property is good for 1 family or people that are very close as there is little privacy in the shower room & it is very close quarters. Also, the stairs going up to the room are very steep, so you should consider that. The area is nice & quiet, 7-11 very close & was...

"Thom and his wife were always available and both spoke good English. Rooms are clean, tidy but small (some people leave their bags outside the room). Beds are comfortable and warm. Bathroom and shower facilities are excellent. The hostel is very close to Nippori-Toneri Liner (station NT03) which gives very quick access to the JR Yamanote Line in Tokyo, so getting to and from central Tokyo is a quick commute.Best of all the hostel is inexpensive, so if you are a backpacker on a budget (or even a...

"The only complexity was obtaining all of the details of the stay. They sent a link to a Google Drive with 6 PDF files detailing getting to the place and opening the door. I had to call to ask them to send the link after I emailed a full copy of my passport. They have some laundry facilities (a washer, no drier) but you must provide your own detergent. I only stayed one night, so had no time. Definitely could accommodate 4 travelers; I was there by myself. The interior was great."

Top Wakasu Hotel Reviews

Shinjuku Washington Hotel Main

8/10 Good

"The rooms were good and the location is good. I feel like the staff at check-in were not very helpful or interested in being helpful. Overall though, it is a quality hotel."

Tokyo Bay Shiomi Prince Hotel

8/10 Good

"The rooms were very spacious and well planned out with separate toilet and shower rooms. The beds were comfortable. My first impression was the hotel reception area smells amazing as you enter - probably from the use of essential oil burners. The staff were extremely helpful, and all spoke very good English. When I booked this hotel, I thought it was more centrally located to Tokyo but it's quite a long way out. I believe it's a very popular hotel for people who are visiting Disneyland - because Disneyland is close by. There are not many shops or restaurants nearby - it's very suburban with only a couple of corner stores. However, it's only a short walk to the train station - and only takes two trains to get into central Tokyo...relatively easy to work out."

APA Hotel & Resort Ryogoku Ekimae Tower

10/10 Excellent

"After a 14 hour flight and several hours trying to navigate the airport/traveling to the hotel via the train system, we made it to our hotel exhausted. The staff members were helpful during our initial check-in and later during our stay when we wanted to send our luggage to our next destination. The room we stayed in was quaint with a wonderful view of the city. We will definitely stay at this hotel or other APA hotels in the future."
