"Great location and very friendly and helpful staff."

"The Yunomori onsen ryokan was one of the best places I've ever stayed at. The Kaiseki breakfast and dinner was incredible and the staff were 10/10 amazing. We had an in-room onsen and it was perfect. The entire place was clean and incredibly cozy. I would absolutely recommend Yunomori to anybody! It's a short walk to Yuno Lake nearby and also some beautiful waterfalls. I highly recommend this place to stay in Nikko. It was a very special experience for us. "

"Lovely hotel in Yuzawa, which is a 90 minute Shinkansen ride from Tokyo. The onsen is nice too, highly recommend"

"Everything about the accommodation was excellent, especially the staff! Despite the communication struggles, they were very helpful and provided great service during my stay. The free shuttle service to the ski resort was also extremely useful as they would drive you to your desired resort and pick you up at your specified time. Without a car, there is limited access to any surrounding towns. There is a bus but it’s relatively infrequent. However, staying in is also great due to the 24 hour...

"If your goal is to get as remote as possible, this is the place for you. It’s an adventure to get to, but when you get there, the remote location provides a tranquility that is second to none. Wonderful experience."

"I think very few gaijin go this far out. Some of the communication was difficult but the staff tried really hard and we enjoyed the stay Hard to navigate getting to and from major stations and it snowed one day at end of March Overall I’m glad we did it for the experience to be immersed in Japanese culture. "大地の芸術祭で十日町までいきました。2歳の子供と一緒にいったんですが、オムツのゴミ箱を持って来てくださいました。子供用の浴衣も可愛かったです。 食事の際もイス、食器と準備して頂いてありがたかったです。 女性の従業員さん達の笑顔がとってもよかったです。 機会があればまた 行きたいです。"

"The room smelled like it had been smoked in for 20years, the bathroom wasn't great and had some mold presence. The room felt really outdated in general compared to the hotel which looks great when you first come in ! Breakfast was good, and staff really nice. Great location next to the nightlife and the temple is within walking distance !"

"とても思い出に残る家族旅行になりました。昔、子供の頃に行った様な旅館で、親子共々楽しかったです。 温泉もすごく良く、３回も入らせていただきました。"

"Excellent service, excellent private onsen inside the room."
