Our destination wedding was held on the island of #crete #greece in #chania, which is the Western side of the island. We had a total of 30 guests from 9 different countries all over the world, so to make it special, we created a week of wedding festivities rather than only one day! We had an activity day with all of the guests where we chartered a private bus to show us some of the great attractions and hidden gems of Chania. One of our stops was at Stavros Beach where Zorba the Greek was filmed! We had some traditional Greek mezethes (tapas or appetizers), which consisted of lots of #seafood ! I don't know about you, but I could stare at this plate all day long. Greek is one of my favorite types of food in the whole world, and nobody can do it quite like Greece!

"At the price this place is a bargain. Stellios (the landlord) is friendly and helpful. Replacing the dining table with a smaller one placed under the window and an additional easy chair would improve the usability but it is an ideal pied a terre for exploring the area. A car is advisable and you really need to like cats, one of Stellios' made a determined effort to move in with us."

"There was always something to do here, whether swimming in the ocean which was more calm than a lake, or in the pool or playing basketball or in the backyard player with sand. There were also so many toys! Our kids range from 3-11 and it was an amazing stay for all. As a mother to so many hungry people it meant a lot to me that when we arrived on Saturday evening so many grocery staples (and extras) were waiting for us! How relaxing to not have to wake up and worry about how or where to find...

"Fantastic location for young families that want to relax by the pool / pebbled beach. Lots of parking, good restaurant on site, and really friendly staff who arranged a baby cot and chair well before we checked in! Only thing is the rooms have a slightly dated decor. Very small tvs and old style coffee filter. Might benefit from a small upgrade to nespresso and slightly better entertainment system. But these are minor issues. If you have an ocean view suite, you can spend lots of happy hours on...

"I had torn my achilles tendon just before my stay here so accessibility was an issue to some degree. No rooms had ramps or had ground floor accessibility. Other than that, the staff were great, breakfast was fantastic. Lunch was meh, dinner was really nice at the stone restaurant. My family had rented a car so we were a short 20 min drive into old town Chania which was gorgeous. "

"We stayed in this hotel for 7 nights , it is very beautiful hotel away from the old town but equally not too far with 10 minutes drive from the old town which cost €12 by taxi. The hotel has got two heated swimming pool, right in the front of the beach , breakfast was excellent with wide variety of options, we did half board with dinner which I preferred open buffet as I am fussy eater , and there wasn’t alot of vegetarian options on the ordered menu, the staff everyone were very pleasant and helpful, the suit been serviced twice daily , I was very happy of my choice of the location of the hotel not in the heart of the old town as was my original plan.but slightly away from it ."

"This property was amazing. The staff were especially nice and attentive. The property was a little dimly lit in the evening and the bathrooms extremely dark. Both restaurants offered exceptional food. We arrived for the opening week of the season and it did seem like they could not handle the reservations for dinner. We chose room service for our final night and it did not disappoint. A special thank you to June for looking out for us. Amazing service!"
