The hotel offers incredible views, an excellent pool, an amazing breakfast, and a wonderful restaurant with astonishing views. It is a very peaceful place, and the complimentary shuttle to the Old Venetian Port runs frequently, making it very convenient. The room also had excellent air conditioning. I highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel was in very good condition and the view over Chania is fantastic. Especially the Restaurant was very good. We ended eating all our meals in a week in the hotels Restaurant, due to the high standard and quality.

The staff were absolutely amazing, very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is at the top of a hill and a little far out from the town, however there is a shuttle service from the hotel from early morning till late every 30 mins to take you into town. The town offers some amazing restaurants with a view and if you don’t mind a stroll - some of the fish restaurants by the harbour were superb! The restaurant in the hotel is lovely too for days you don’t want to venture out! The hotel itself is quiet and the pool is a really good size - again with some beautiful sea views . We would definitely stay here again!

Insgesamt ein schönes und gutes Hotel. Ich war mit dem Aufenthalt zufrieden. Ein Stern Abzug, weil die Terrasse nicht richtig gereinigt wurde. Außerdem waren manche Ecken im Zimmer renovierungsbedürftig.

The reception staff were absolutely delightful, they had free transport which was easy to book, although I did not use I feel like this was an amazing idea for people who did not want to worry about parking or car rentals. The hotel looked very modern and brand new, the area was lovely and I would definitely come back. To improve they should not allow people to put their towels on the sun-bed and leave it there for hours unattended, it is unfair for the other guests and ruins the experience. The breakfast was good, and once again the staff hospitality was great. Thank you royal sun we will be back.

Prior to booking, it is helpful to remember that this is a 3-star hotel. With that being said, it is a rather solid 3-star hotel. My family of 4 stayed in 2 different rooms for 5 nights, and it was an overall comfortable stay. The rooms were spacious, the view of Chania was beautiful, the breakfast buffet was delicious and had many selections which changed daily, the free laundry room was helpful as we were staying in Chania during the latter half of our trip, and the shuttle service was convenient. We were fortunate enough to find parking each night, but some nights may be harder than others, especially if non-hotel guests are parking there for the restaurant. If there is no parking surrounding the hotel or in the back, I believe you can still park on the hill leading up to the hotel. However, what surprised us during our stay were the thin walls. I do not recall reading any prev reviews with noise issues, but during our stay, each morning and night, we kept hearing sounds of chairs being pushed along the ground? We weren't sure if our room was under another guest or staff (?) room. Luckily, it wasn't loud enough to interrupt us while we were sleeping, but was a bit bothersome while we were awake. Perhaps we were unlucky as my parents stayed on the ground floor and reported no noise issues. If bathrooms are a priority, keep in mind that some can be very small, especially ones with the corner shower. Fortunately it was OK for us, but may be claustrophobic for some.
