"Has changed since my last stay, it now has different owners. Self check in and out is now in place and whilst it works there’s no substitute for real reception. Room was clean as normal, along with the hotel on general. You no longer get tea/coffee making facilities in your room, which is a shame, especially as it was still listed as being provided when I booked and paid for my stay. Breakfast used to be a buffet, but now you have a choice of a buffet or à la carte. The à la carte I think is an improvement on the buffet breakfast you used to get. I didn’t try the buffet this stay, so can’t comment on how it compares. Luggage storage is still provided for guests, but is now charged at £10 an item where I never had to pay before. Whilst there has been changes made since my previous stay, I assume to bring it in line with the new owners other hotels and reduce running costs, the hotel remains a good place to stay if you’re planning on a city break in London. Ideally placed for a lot of the theatres and Oxford St shopping. I will be back again."

"The room was clean. There is nowhere to put clothes, no dresser, closet, not even a luggage stand. 4 small hooks on the wall which only hold one item each. But location is top notch!"

"Great hotel in a great location with wonderful staff. Will start with some room oddities and annoyances: - half the plugs in the room did not fit our UK adapters, which included the one in the bathroom and both behind both nightstands, where we would charge our phones. - Ridiculous, comically small garbage cans, particularly in the bathroom. - no drawers to put clothes away in. Only 1 closet. Biggest annoyance - you have to book the pool in advance. 30 minute time slots Positives: - Great location, 10 minute walk to Waterloo station and the Eye - Good bathroom. Nice comfy tub and great water pressure in the shower - Comfortable beds - Good in-hotel restaurants. Joel being higher end dining (we went, it was good) and ICHI, a sushi restaurant (we did not go). The hotel lounge Primo was fabulous for drinks, munchies and people watching - Natalia in the Joel restaurant and Maleeha and Hanan in the lounge provided us wonderful 5 star service - Rooms service was good quality food and delivered fairly fast. One of the best clubhouse sandwiches I’ve ever had. Good pizza for kids - If we needed anything extra brought to our room (TP, towels), it was there within 10 minutes of calling front desk each time Would definitely recommend as a nice hotel with good amenities and a superior location"

"This was a good hotel in a good location in London, for a very reasonable price. The room was big on amenities, and we didn't realize there was no air conditioner there, but then again we really didn't need it in March. The staff was very helpful. The room was a little smaller than what we thought we were getting viewing the photos online, but for the price we didn't mind. I would recommend this hotel as long as you are trying to "keep it simple" with size vs a good location & price. "

"Reception was helpful on arrival. I was asked what room I wanted and given a room that was quiet. As important it was cosy, clean and tidy, even had chocolates. The bed was comfy but not too soft and I had a good nights sleep. The Haxwell restaurant was good for fine dining, but for those with a bigger appetite might find it lacking portion wise, but there are plenty of restaurants too choose from on the doorstep. The hotel is well located for central locations and theatres either walking or a short taxi ride away. Compared to some, I found the room good value, just right for rest and relaxation. "
