"We have visited this Westin in PV many times. They have made many changes recently and are clearly upgrading for impending all inclusive status. The upgrades were very needed. The check in desk staff seemed much more mature and professional. The resort staff were congenital and friendly as always. We were there during the cartel disturbance and the staff was fantastic. Roberto, Juan and Ernesto at the beach side restaurant were amazing. The whole hotel came to eat there during lockdown and they just kept hustling to keep up. Even did that the next day after they stayed the night at the hotel as they were locked down also. The hotel closed their exercise/spa facility and put some exercise equipment in what must have been the children’s play area. That was disappointing. Dirty, un maintained equipment and facility. Hopefully this is one of the upgrades they are working on. I would stay at the Westin in PV again after the recent disruption concludes and hopefully they will complete some much needed maintenance and upgrades to improve the experience. Shout out to the staff during the cartel violence!! They were amazing, away from their families and working to keep the hotel guests accommodated. "
