A church in the Italian Alps, near the village of Roncola, Italy - May 2019.

It may be a challenge to get to Roncola by public transport (from Bergamo), but it's doable and worth it.
The village is beautifully-situated in the Pre-Alps, the chestnut trees abound, and this accommodation specifically can provide views, warmth, and a nice breakfast.
P.S. It's very clean and the design is lovely.

Huge pain. Will use hotel next time for sure. Resort fee for an apartment with zero services is a deceptive money grab. Also the hoops required to process check in took over an hour. Nightmare.
