My first all inclusive ever was a great stay. The food was excellent and every meal was good. Alot of seaweed at the beach on the first day but they did a great job of cleaning it up and it was pristine the rest of the trip. The staff was all smiles and helpful everywhere on the resort. Shows and activites every day/night would reccommend.

Excellent food choices for a vegetarian. Generous fresh fruit on pancakes and frijoles on the side for protein at Margarita restaurant breakfast. Hotel and restaurant staff consistently went over and above for my needs. Security is very good too. Plus a beautiful private Caribbean beach. Good proximity to Tulum, Xcaret, and Xel Ha.

I have had a wonderful stay at the Ocean Riviera Paradise - El Besos Section. I had the pleasure of enjoying privilege amenities during my stay, which felt like VIP treatment. Check-in was straightforward and they did us the service of delivering our baggage to our rooms via cart. We had a Butler assigned to us, Lily, as a Privilege amenity to handle everything from reservations to recommendations and advice. Lily was a rockstar, she even helped me get preferential rates when I decided to extend my stay a few days. The staff across the resort are all very friendly. There are too many names to remember, and I really have to hand it to our swim-up bartenders especially, but I was most recently helped by Alexis in the privilege Lounge. As a waiter he was exceptional at tending to my glasses before they were empty and overall timeliness. All of the meals (and drinks) I've had have been wonderful. The room service is very thorough with twice daily visits to turn the room, and while I have only run into them once in my 5 days here, the hotel provides door tags if you'd like to reduce the frequency of room service. The resort is quite large. There is a trolley that goes up and down the central road - however the frequency leaves a bit to be desired so if you have mobility issues you should look into other accommodations such as scooter rental. The size makes plenty of room for pools and dining options though, and the walking has helped keep me in shape, so no complaints.

We chose this hotel for our honeymoon because it was advertised as “adults only,” but that was not our experience at all. The resort is very family-oriented, with children present in most areas. There’s nothing wrong with that but it wasn’t what we expected or booked. Aside from one or two reservation-only restaurants and a single pool, nearly all spaces (buffet, activities, shops, main areas) were kid-friendly. It did not feel like a true adults-only environment. We also had a stressful situation where we found a late-night note on our door about an “outstanding charge.” After calling, we were passed between multiple staff members and given conflicting reasons (broken mirror, stained sheets, unpaid room). The damage claims were false, but it turned out our room hadn’t been charged properly at check-in. We booked through Expedia and were told multiple times it’s better to book directly to avoid issues. That may be true, but it shouldn’t impact the guest experience. Also, the resort doesn’t show clearly on Uber/transport apps, and there’s another “El Beso” about 30 minutes away and easy to mix up when booking rides. This doesn't reflect on my review but just giving a heads up to other travels since it happened to us. If you want a family-friendly resort, this may work. If you’re expecting a true adults-only, honeymoon-type experience, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

This has been by far THE BEST all inclusive hotel I had been to. The location, the site, THE FOOD, AND STAFF!!! It was all a pleasure from checkin to checkout!

I stayed at the El Beso and they really took care of us. We got a room upgrade, tshirts, and free champagne. They noticed my suitcase was broken and offered to give me a new one for free. I went very taken care of and able to relax. Property is huge and beautiful. There was a tram to take you around which was nice. Only thing is they have a few kinks to sort out. We waited over an hour and a half for the Mexican restaurant when we could see parties leaving and tables not being bussed and resat. Waited almost 2 hours to make an in person reservation at the hibachi restaurant. Only about 20 people were ahead of us in line so not sure why it took that long. Other than logistical stuff like that, this place was absolutely amazing, I would definitely return

6/10 This resort was advertised as an all inclusive Adult only resort and that is far from the truth. In reality you are a getting an Adults only dormitory, and adults only pool and swim up bar and 1 adults only restaurant. The rest of the resort is family friendly The Night Life on the resort is also very lacking, after 6 pm almost every bar closes except for the Lobby bar a piano bar and a sports bar. ALL of these bars close at 12. So if you are going to drink and have a good night life experience, try going of the resort. The sports bar turns into a make shift club later in the night but it honestly isnt that entertaining. The Dj played mediocre music and I had to slip him a 20 for him to play more modern dancing music Lastly, The beach. The beach is not really that great. Its pretty small and was covered with seaweed, which to be fair is not the resorts fault. When it gave to getting in the ocean, the beach was extremely rocky. Im not talking pebbles and shells, im talking about sharp rocks that you bump into and trip over in the ocean. I recommended water shoes but that still only gets you so far. I made multiple trips into the ocean to carry my friends out because i was the only one with water shoes The rest of the hotel was pretty mediocre. The Buffet was okay. The drinks were good. And the rooms were fairly clean The one thing that really shined was the staff. A lot of the staff would recognize me, remember my orders or give me recommendations on what to do or try

My wife and I are currently finishing up an amazing stay at Ocean Riviera Paradise – El Beso in Playa del Carmen, and we truly cannot say enough good things about this resort. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The property is beautiful, extremely well maintained, and the adults-only El Beso section offers a great balance of relaxation while still having plenty to do. The food throughout the resort has been excellent with a wide variety of restaurants, and every meal we’ve had has been fresh and enjoyable. The service here is really what makes the experience stand out. Every staff member we’ve interacted with has been friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. There has been entertainment and activities every night, so we’ve always had something fun to do. One moment that really stood out during our stay was when our flight back to New York was cancelled due to bad weather. The guest services team immediately stepped in and helped accommodate our extended stay quickly and professionally, which took a lot of stress off our shoulders. A huge thank you to the guest services staff, especially Fernando and management team for going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Five stars from both my wife and me. We are leaving tomorrow morning, but we already know we will absolutely be coming back and would highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Playa del Carmen.
