「Excellent staff. The room was a bit worn out, especially for a 5-star hotel. The internet that operates WiFi, TV and phone was out for about 24 hours, not a good experience and the hotel didn’t make any accommodations. For about $1000 a night, we expected a better experience than that. Again, most of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.」

「Breakfast was offered, but they give you only one option so you eat the same thing every day. The couch in the room was falling apart and the bed was hard. But the views are incredible and the food at the restaurant was a bit pricey but delicious. 」

「A beautiful stay in Guayacan. Staff very helpful. Grace was our favourite, she spent time teaching our children Spanish and made us feel very welcome every time. We had an issue with the water but this wouldn't put us off staying here again. A unique experience that we really loved. Food was delicious, go half board if you can. The rooms need an extra air con unit on the bunkbeds side, but if you have the unit on all day and shut the curtains it's fine. Don't be put off by the drive up to the...

Breakfast was excellent and it was nice having coffee or tea available during the day. The only issue was the noise from traffic while we were outside by the pool. I didn't realize the hotel was on a busy road when I booked it.」

「This is a great boutique hotel for someone looking for a reclusive and quite stay. It is located in the mountains with gorgeous views. Fyi. The standard room only has one queen size bed. 「Nice spot right on the beach—you can literally step out and watch the sunset, and hear the waves from your room. The hotel manager even stepped in personally to help us, which was a nice touch. Super secure place, and the staff are very friendly and always trying to help. It is a bit pricey for the level of the hotel, but that seems to be Costa Rica in general.」

「This was our second year coming to the Rip Jack villas and it was an excellent stay. Hotel staff was very kind and courteous. Rooms were clean and kept clean daily. The food in the hotel was delicious; we’re still debating who among us had the best meals. This year we traveled with a larger group and everyone had a great time. 「This property is a “Diamond in the rough”. The location is perfect. A half block from the main Beach (the moneys show up around 4-5 pm) and tons of shops, restaurants, bars and all things fun rentals. The staff were superb as was the complimentary breakfast. The rooms are a little dated but very clean. There seems to be something entertaining going on every day or evening in the bar/restaurant area and the pool area was a perfect oasis. We have travel many times to the all inclusive beach...

「The ocean in the area had a stinging creatures which made it non-enjoyable. We had to go to a neighboring town to swim in the ocean. The locals said that these creatures are present in the ocean from November till April. The pool at the hotel is relatively small: only 5-6 people would fit comfortably in it. 」
