The location and vibe was perfect for us! The room was simple, neat, clean and they honored our request for a room with the couch. The bathrooms could use an update or refresh. They are dated. The restaurant was delicious and a nice surprise in this sleepy town. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. ...

We had the best time at our Bungalow stay and already planning our next trip! None of our group of 12 had been to Costa Rica and didn’t know what to expect. For starters the beach and beach access was amazing! The teenagers LOVED surfing with perfect waves, sandy smooth beaches and perfect weather. ...

Playa grande is a tiny town with maybe 5 places to eat. It’s 40 min to Tamarindo unless you walk down the beach for 10 min to a water taxi- then walk on the other side to the main strip. It’s just too hot to do all that.
Very unique beach with all the great surfing accomodations. The ocean is fantastic with beautieful waves. White sand.
We enjoyed a fabulous turtle tour!
Bring nothing but comfy shoes, particularly ones you can spray off like plastic flip flops or water resistant shoes. We went during the dry season and it was very dusty so we had to spray down our shoes every day.
Go to El Huerto Pizzeria, the best pizza in Guanacaste! Highly recommend it!
