The Hive Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"We visited Rome, Venice, Milano, and Lake Como. This hotel was the highlight of our hotels we stayed. The facility is modern, well-kept, clean, with great soap and shampoo, etc. But you must check out their rooftop restaurant!!! The chef is outstanding. They have good meals, including breakfast buffet and lunch. It is in a secure location, with easy access to taxi, and the Roma Termini Station. They have a spa we had no time to try but would do so next time!"

"I stayed here with my family (2 adults, 2 kids) and we enjoyed this lovely property. We did not eat at the on site restaurants. Our room was very tidy and the staff was very helpful in orienting us to the city and assisting with transportation needs. Our windows closed securely but the very old door did not have a weather tight seal. Despite that, the room AC worked fine and kept the room at a comfortable temperature. We especially loved the location, being able to walk to so many wonderful sites and restaurants, but we did not have a problem with noise or safety. I would certainly stay here again!"

"Staff were wonderful - available 24/7 and helped with baggage upstairs. They offered air conditioning, which most hotels on our trip did not. Nice-sized room and bathroom. No laundry machines, but offered laundry to be set out (but not over the weekend). We were housed in an annex off an alley. Completely separate building from the main hotel. 20-25 steps to get to the elevator, and it only holds 1 person with luggage. The elevator didn't work while we were there. Good location, but I would stay closer to the areas I'm looking to visit to avoid transportation. $60 taxi to the airport. The hotel would not work for someone needing accessibility."

"The hotel was very clean and well located. Fantastic rooftop terrace for drinks and meals. Staff were exceptionally helpful and kind. We even got an upgrade which was greatly appreciated. Only areas for improvement - check in and out was very slow as only 1 staff member processing everything. Room service inconsistent each day. Otherwise a wonderful stay. Thank you!"
