8/10 Good

"First, the god news. The room had nice features, including air conditioning and a kitchen. The furnishings were up to date and the mattress was comfortable. The walls kept out most of the sounds from outside. The bathroom was clean and the water was hot. Now the bad news. There’s no lift. The air conditioning was broken so we had a rather sleepless night due to the heat. We opened a window to let some air in but that also let in the noise so it didn’t help. We couldn’t call the front desk for help because it was after 10pm so the front desk as closed for the night. That was mostly bad timing. If we had discovered the problem sooner maybe they could have moved us to a different room. When we checked out in the morning, they apologized for the inconvenience but we left feeling tired and miserable from lack of sleep. Also, the kitchen has three light switches, two that are easy to find and one that was hidden behind the coffee maker. It took several minutes of searching for us to find that hidden switch. If the coffee maker had been in a different spot we could have seen the light switch. The bed was tilted because the floor isn’t level; there’s a noticeable sag in the floor boards near the window, I don’t know how they could fix the floor but it annoyed me trying to sleep on a bed that wasn’t level. Finally, the room description said we would get a free bottle of wine but no one offered us any wine when we checked in. 4/5 despite the flaws because it was mostly good, overall."
