「The Staff was friendly, the girl on the front desk knew little English thought was very helpful and tried really hard to communicate everything to us. The rooms were nice and clean. The views to the garden were amazing. 」

「The garden suite was wonderful as was the entire property. So unique, peaceful and an excellent viewing of the stars from the lookout site. But what stood out though was the fantastic service from Paulo, Johnny and Luis and everyone else, who treated us as if we were the most important people in the world. This is truly an unforgettable space and team! 」

Attached to Hotel Karao is quaint Coffee Shop Karao, Small outdoor patio, great coffee and wonderful Chocolate Banana Bread and many other baked breakfast food items. Bottled water, Front Desk and coffee shop staffed 7am-5pm. Check in 24/7, but you will be given code to retrieve room keys after about 5 pm. Phone number of local owners to help is posted if you have an issue. Staff was exceptional and friendly. Very clean and attentive....

Made great drinks The cooks provided excellent meals. But the food servers seemed liked they wanted to be anywhere but there. Except for the gentle that served us he was tentative and responsive to or table.」

「We loved the layout of the property with individual cabins surrounding the pool area. Beds were comfortable and it was so nice to have a kitchen and hot shower! Would stay here again!」

「Rooms were great! AC worked amazingly. Margie at the front desk was so helpful with luggage storage and making us feel comfortable. The pool was great and there is an outdoor shower. Breakfast was unreal, many options with the traditional breakfast and coffee was great too! Would recommend to anyone looking for a cheeper stay in Tamarindo with easy access to the beach and downtown. 」

「It was very relaxing. Security was great. Helpful & friendly staff. The WiFi was very spotty in our location #7 so texting & internet were unavailable. Also Due to this the TV did not function. Water pressure was very low so difficult to have a shower.」

「We had a really lovely three night stay. Both Rolando and Audrey were helpful and nice. The room really suited our family with the king size bed on the main floor and twin beds in the loft. We enjoyed breakfast in the restaurant that shares the site and the massages in the tent on site were fabulous and so well priced. We only wish we could have stayed longer. 」

Especially loved the quiet rooftop lounge, which is one of the more beautiful quiet spaces I’ve experienced traveling. 「The room was very comfortable and spacious. Our children enjoyed the pool which was clean and well cared for. We ate three meals at the restaurant which were all great. The staff were all friendly. We saw iguanas and monkeys in the courtyard which was also fun. Highly recommend.」

「The location and vibe was perfect for us! The room was simple, neat, clean and they honored our request for a room with the couch. The bathrooms could use an update or refresh. They are dated. The restaurant was delicious and a nice surprise in this sleepy town. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Took advantage of yoga which was great. The pools are very small but lots of lounges, hammocks, ping pong and a great lending library! Will definitely return to this sleepy but fabulous town! 」
