Book a Panamá Beach Resort

"The staff are very UNhelpful. We had to find our own way to the airport, we were told, until the shuttle showed up and we talked to the driver. We had booked the room for 3 persons and there were no blankets, sheets, or pillows for the third person. We had to ask for them,and the front desk staff were not friendly about it. "

"Hotel and grounds are very nice. Staff was fine. Pools were beautiful. Did not care much for the food. All restaurants, except the steak house was a buffet. Getting reservations for dinner was difficult, which was confusing, since they were buffets. Ride from Liberia airport was bumper to bumper, took 2 hours. Roads were 1 lane in each direction. Rooms were fine, and house keeping was very good. All in all would not return."

"The resort was very clean. The staff was very nice and eager to make sure you stay was wonderful. The food was above average. The pool and surrounding area was absolutely fabulous. The only thing that needs to happen if this resort is an upgrade at rooms very outdated"

"The grounds and foliage at this hotel are absolutely huge. You can take a walk in nature through many tall trees on a path surrounding a lagoon which has many birds in it including large herons. There are also what looks to be over 50 peacocks that have full run of the place which was great! They can be a little loud at times. The pool is massive and a lot of fun. The food at the restaurant was great and reasonably priced. We had to leave early to go to the airport so could not eat at the buffet breakfast so they made us sandwiches which was very nice. Would for sure stay again."

"The hotel itself was excellent and the staff was very friendly. The reason for my rating was the food at the restaurant. It was very expensive for extremely mediocre food. The a la carte breakfast was served cold and the pizza the night before was extremely greasy. "

"We booked the Papagayo last minute after staying at another hotel that was sub par. Our room was great. Spotless, big, with a nice terrace. The property itself is outdated. It is well maintained, but the pool itself gets dirty quickly due to falling leaves. There were not enough sun loungers, and not enough shade. The beach was very nice to walk on, but not the best for swimming. We used the free kayaks on site, and kayaked across the bay 2.5+ miles to the four seasons. Everything at the golden palms hotel was outrageously priced. The food ($28.99 for a burger, cocktails $15-18) was so expensive we walked down the beach to the Marriot El Mangroove hotel, and had gourmet meals for a better price. Hacienda blu was also spectacular and cheaper, just a short walk down the beach. Out of spite we never ate a meal at the hotel because of how expensive it was. The free breakfast was sufficient. Staff were nice and attentive. However, for the price of the hotel, it is too expensive for what you get."
