Alejandro and Yucsan are the reason I would return to this Waldorf property. Extremely helpful and clearly passionate about their jobs. I’m self employed so I know first hand how difficult it is to find staff of this caliber. Wonderful experience thanks to truly wonderful people.

The hotel, territory, and the room was simply fantastic. The beach is well kept and amazing. The restaurants on site offered very tasty healthy quality food. Staff was superbly attentive and each time we came to eat remembered our names. Very personal service and complimentary beers in the room every day. Would definetly go again!

Amazing property, wonderful staff…my only gripe would be that there isn’t an adults only pool. When getting away from kids, it would be nice to have an adults only area with no kids allowed. All in all though, we loved it. Room was great, food was amazing, and service was top notch. We’ll still be back…possibly just with our kids next time instead.

Beautiful resort and beach. The restaurant food for dinner had too many odd flavors placed together giving the entrees a terrible taste and increased richness. Very expensive food, not many options as well. The staff were amazing and very accommodating.

We went for our 10 year wedding anniversary. First time to Costa Rica. Could not have had a better experience. The campus was spotless and verdant. The staff were unfailingly helpful and accommodating. The concierge staff were excellent and thoughtful. The food was delicious. And the views were stunning. 10/10 recommend.

Overall the hotel is good, very new and clean. Not so private tho because the beach is public. the staff is friendly. But receptionists make you feel miserable and look down at you even if you stay in the best suite. This is someone unexpected in a 5 star property and especially in friendly Latin American country . Very disappointing won’t be back.

Our family had an absolutely amazing stay at the Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica Punta Cacique! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The property is stunning, perfectly perched on the cliffs with breathtaking views overlooking the ocean. Every detail of the resort is beautiful, but what truly made our trip unforgettable was the incredible staff. Every single team member was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and always eager to help in any way they could. They made us feel at home from the very beginning. A special thank you to our personal concierge, Adonay, who went above and beyond throughout our stay. He helped us secure dinner reservations, arranged an amazing boat excursion, and even organized a rental car for a day. Having him as our concierge was such a blessing and made our vacation completely stress-free. I’d also like to recognize the outstanding pool staff. They were always attentive and made sure every day by the pool was relaxing and enjoyable. A special thank you to Ecelio, Jean Paul, and Sandro, who consistently went above and beyond with their exceptional service. Although I’ve mentioned a few names, every staff member we encountered made us feel genuinely cared for and welcomed. That level of hospitality is what sets this resort apart. I highly recommend the Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica Punta Cacique. It far exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to return! We have just finished a week's vacation at the hotel. It should be noted that the property is very beautiful, with an amazing view of the sea, but there are a few minuses that are important to note. The hotel is built of several parts on different levels and it is very inconvenient to walk from the rooms to the pool and restaurants. Yes, there is a golf cart shuttle service, but you have to call to reserve. We were there during a period when the weather was very hot, very humid, in the restaurant that functions as a dining room, the air conditioning is almost not noticeable, so it is unpleasant to eat there, the kitchen is not run efficiently, the dishes are delayed much longer than normal. Although the hotel is very, very expensive, the spa is not included in the price, using the sauna costs a hundred dollars per person per day, simply outrageous. There are no umbrellas in the pools and it is difficult to avoid the strong sun.

My check-in experience wasn’t the best, my room was not ready and I had to wait almost 2 hours with my kids after we’ve been traveling all day for the room to be ready. We were escorted to the pool area to wait there. We were not even offered water while we waited, I had to keep asking people if they knew when my room would be ready because I wasn’t getting any updates related to my room. My my room was OK and it had an amazing view, I do not like area rugs in rooms. The area rug that was under our beds was dirty and stained. I could tell nobody had vacuumed it. there were hairs in the sink that were not ours housekeeping came around every day, but did the bare minimum I asked for the floor we clean one day after our day because there was sand everywhere from us going to the beach and they would just keep fixing our bed and emptying the trash, but not cleaning the floors. Besides that staff was amazing, everyone was really nice. Julio went out of his way to make us feel welcome and comfortable since day one and throughout our stay the food was very, very good. The only thing I didn’t like was when I went to have dinner or tried to have dinner at Tico Tica, they asked me if I had a reservation, which I did not have yet there were multiple tables empty and they wanted me to wait an hour. That was a downer. I also had a massage done and it was amazing. Overall, I don’t know if I wouldn’t necessarily stay in this hotel again. It was just an ok experience.

Beautiful property and room! The pools are plentiful and never felt crowded—we saw a monkey! Treat yourself to an evening sunset by the lobby bar—breathtaking! The beach is ona beautiful cove. My kids enjoyed the rocky areas for “tidepooling” for hermit crabs, fish, etc. There is a nice reef right off the beach where daily snorkeling activities are available. We saw a puffer fish, some colorful tropical fish and a spotted ray. Note the beach is public, but the locals are friendly and not loud. There are no loungers down close to the ocean (a little higher up on the sand close to the property, but not many people sat there). It was a tad of an annoyance to see 9 jet skis in the cove almost everyday. They are for rental. My family did enjoy them one day, however, 2 or three would suffice. 9 surely took away from the tropical island feel and I looked forward to each evening when they disappeared. The room was luxurious and had everything you needed. We did purchase a 2 queens room with a small plunge pool—in hindsight sight we did not use it much and we noticed these pools were only on the first floors (preventing a better view). It did seem like there were only a few larger suites with a corner pool on the upper floors of buildings). The dining was pretty good. The breakfast spread at TicoTica was great and unexpected. We enjoyed Peacock Alley to watch the World Cup USA game—a great vibe. Kids enjoyed the pool with the slide and the teen room was cool. Pura Vida!
