Labor Day shenanigans at Lincoln Beach. Lincoln Beach served New Orleans' African-American community during the time of segregation. You have to hop the levee/fence, cross the (active) train tracks, and then find one of the the trails that leads to the water. This is a view from the outside of part of the old arcade, a lingering reminder of what used to be. Unfortunately, the whole area is littered with trash as its not maintained by the city or the railroad locality. "The staff was really the highlight of our stay. Our room was clean and comfortable. The pool was clean and organized. Front desk, valet, concierge and the staff inside twisted waffle made us feel like we were regulars. Locations is close to everything but far away to not hear the commotion. I have stayed here before and will stay again in the future. 5 star staff. "
