「Amazing location right on the beach and 10 minute walking to Pancake Rocks! Cabin was great with a small fridge and kettle, and had a nice private deck to sit out on. The shared kitchen was really helpful and the camp provided all the cooking supplies we needed!」

「From arrival to departure we were very impressed with our treatment and the accommodation pod we had booked. There are only cafe facilities at the weekend therefore the need to travel for food and drink was unavoidable but it is only a short drive into Gisborne. The beaches close by are a surfers paradise so would certainly suit the adventurous person, though not myself. An all round excellent stay. 」

「Trevor and Deanne were wonderful hosts. The assisted us with transportation for our wine tasting trip and made some wonderful recommendations for dining. The tent was large, clean, well appointed and very comfortable. My husband and I loved sitting on the veranda every morning enjoying our coffee while surrounded by the vineyard.」

「Property in person is even better than advertised. Check in/out was easy, communication with the owner was seamless, and our stay was quiet and relaxing. 「Unique experience -sleeping under the sky with the comfort of a hotel bed in a beautiful decorated room. We stayed for 2 nights so we spent a whole day at our little camp, enjoying the beautiful landscape, the silence, the nature, the sun and the views. There is much thought been put into the little things like fairy lights, games, decoration... we were very thankful for the power bank. No problem with the toilet and the shower, both worked fine and everything was really clean. The hot water...

"Title: Great Location and Views, but Housekeeping Needs Improvement I read many reviews before booking and, after my stay, would rate the experience slightly above average. The location, views from the room, and in-room facilities were excellent. However, I recommend avoiding the cheapest studio room—it feels like part of a suite that’s been sectioned off, offers no outside view, and faces the hallway. I stayed in a suite, but the washing machine was shared with the adjoining studio. The room was clean, but furniture showed wear, and kitchenware, though looking clean, had burnt residue and needed rewashing. Staff were friendly and handled a cleaning issue politely, but housekeeping was the main concern. My first glass was cloudy, the frying pan and oven tray had heavy burnt residue, and one day I returned to find cabinet doors left open and the dish towel on the floor. During my nine-day stay, the floor was never vacuumed, so I did it myself. For a short stay without much cooking, this hotel is excellent for its views, facilities, and comfortable beds. For longer stays, be ready to do extra cleaning. If privacy matters, choose 130 Frankton over the main 100 Frankton building. The main building’s shades are see-through at night, while 130 Frankton offers much better privacy. "
