10/10 Excellent
"We had a great stay at citizenM Washington DC Capitol. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and they even helped us find a free parking spot right outside the hotel. We really appreciated that! The room is small, but we actually loved it. Everything feels very new, modern, and clean. The smart features are especially impressive—the quiet air conditioning, automatic curtains, lighting, and other room controls can all be managed easily through the iPad. The hotel has a very modern and comfortable atmosphere, and the location is also convenient for visiting Washington, DC. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel!"

"The property was very good and clean. The only problem we had was getting back our refund from deposit of $140. I called the hotel repeatedly with no progress. Very disappointing."

8/10 Good
"The room was amazing, and the property itself was absolutely stunning. Overall, I had a good stay, but there were a few areas where the service could have been better. There were several moments when staff didn’t seem as attentive or knowledgeable as I would have expected, even when asking fairly standard questions, such as the cost of valet parking. There were also times when calling Guest Services that the person answering the phone didn’t provide the warm or welcoming greeting I would typically expect from a property at this level. I also felt that the hotel could have been a little more accommodating with certain requests, particularly late checkout. While I understand that late checkout is always subject to availability, it was a little disappointing to see that a 4:00 PM checkout appeared to be available as a benefit for certain American Express guests, while there seemed to be much less flexibility otherwise. That said, the staff did make an effort to accommodate where they could, which I appreciated. Aside from those service-related issues, I really enjoyed my stay. The room was excellent, the hotel is beautiful, and the overall experience was still a good one. With a little more consistency in attentiveness, hospitality, and guest accommodations, the experience could have been exceptional."
