"This hotel was great! It was such a nice change of pace from Tokyo. The onsen in the basement was so calm and peaceful! We absolutely loved it. We didn’t go to the restaurant at the hotel but there was an amazing French inspired restaurant near the canal only a few blocks away. We went there twice in three days. Highly recommend the hotel and the nearby restaurant."

"The biggest selling point of this hotel is how it is conveniently located within one of the most popular malls in the Umeda area with direct train station access. I also appreciate the availability of kiosks to expedite the check-in and checkout process."

"Karaksa hotel was very clean, the service was great, and the breakfast had options for every dietary preference. In addition to the core items that were available every day, there were also rotating menu options. Last but not least, the price was reasonable too. It would be better if the employees spoke English more fluently, as it would make communication easier. Also as amenities it has only public bath. It would be great if the hotel includes other amenities like exercise room or Jacuzzi. I recommend this hotel and will definitely come back if the opportunity arises."

"Well-located with clean rooms that match description. The sento is a lovely touch and the PJs were good too. Staff were very helpful with everything, including luggage transfer. Only slight issue was # of washers / dryers. It's a popular hotel so there would be a bit of queue for these in evenings. There was a way to check if they were available in room which we appreciated, but just something to bear in mind to try and avoid popular times (evenings) if you need a lot of washing done."

"Stayed here for a week with my daughter. The people were the kindest and I’m so grateful for them. The breakfast was amazing. One of the best I’ve had in Japan. The property is great and the restaurant and bakery in the hotel helped a lot for snacking. Overall would stay here again and 10/10 recommend it to anyone. You won’t be disappointed. "

"The staff were very helpful and efficient. The hotel is very conveniently located right accross the road from Kyoto Station. The room was normal size for a Japanese room so no complaints. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable."
