"We wanted to experience living in a traditional Japanese home and this fit the bill. The house has very good bus connections into downtown Kyoto and a variety of restaurants nearby. Although it might be far for some, I took near daily walks to the river. The house is less ideal for long term stays (we were there over two weeks) as it doesn't have a lot of kitchen necessities. The management company was very responsive and quick to help by phone or direct email but never responded via this...
