"We pulled up to this obviously older hotel and were getting pangs of regret. The front desk is littered with post-its and random notes under the glass top. I was met at the door by a happy little dog and my wife began rolling her eyes. A casual front desk atmosphere was clear. Walking past the pool to our room, I noticed it was clean and the water was clear. I did not get the chance to sample it. We climbed the wooden stairs with 2x4 railings to our second floor room while making a mental note...
