We stayed at a total of 4 hotels over 9 days in the Orlando area and this was by far our favorite even over Disney and higher priced Universal hotels. The beds were comfy, hotel was smaller and not as crowded, great entertainment options, easy transportation to Universal locations and super helpful staff! We will be staying here again on our next Orlando trip!

The place is a clean value minded hotel. The staff was great, but if you're looking for better in room food options or top notch beds, probably better to stay at a higher end hotel, however for the money, it was good.

this was a great budget resort for a trip to Universal. The rooms were clean, staff was friendly. We would have liked a restaurant or more food options on the premises but aside from that it was a great stay. Did get a little loud in the room when the room next door was a bit loud at night, we had an adjoining room so we could hear them through the adjoining door. Bus ride to the park was quick and easy. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

The hotel was very clean and nice. There is a cafe downstairs and they are open late 11pm which is good when you’re coming back late from the parks. The pool is also open late which is nice for night swimming. The hotel was very nice.

The staff was always a pleasure to talk to and very attentive of all of our needs. The hotel was extremely clean and organized. It was also great to have the laundry machines available for use. Also the refillable cup came in very handy.

Last time when we visited Universal two years ago, we stayed at Dockside and we liked it. Surfside is smaller but it is more convenient. The food was good and reasonably priced. There is a Walgreens right across the street, if you want to get some cereals or milk. In general, it was a good stay.

Very convenient! There are free shuttle buses to all the Universal parks, and the early park admission is definitely the best part! There’s also a Walgreens right next to the hotel, so it’s super easy to grab essentials, snacks, and drinks whenever you need them. Although breakfast isn’t included, the food at the hotel restaurant is actually really good. There’s also a Starbucks right in the lobby, which is very convenient.
