「The cottage was clean and every amenity was thought of. The wi-fi was out due to a lightning strike, but we spent so much time away on the lakes that it was a non-issue. We enjoyed meeting the hosts and would absolutely recommend this place!」

「My husband and dog stayed here with another couple and their dog for a long weekend. The home is lovely - so clean, updated, well-stocked, and nicely decorated. The setting is quiet and set in the woods with a lovely deck, porch, balcony, and yard. Communication with the host was terrific and everything was easy. This is one of the best rentals we’ve stayed at and I’d book it again in a second!」

「While vacationing, we prefer to stay off the grid from the attractions, but like to be close enough to have quick access. We loved this cabin! It was clean and cozy with a beautiful view. We looked forward to arriving back to the cabin nightly following our adventures to cook dinner in the grill, relax lakeside and enjoy the view. If we visit the area again, we’ll definitely book here.」

「From the moment we turned in the drive you could tell this was a great choice. We stayed here for a couple of days while visiting the area for our wedding anniversary. This small cottage in the woods was perfect for two people and the attention to all the details was apparent. It was exceptionally clean, very comfortable and quiet. The attention the owners have given to making this a special place for their guests is obvious. We would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area.」

「Cabin was a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the scenery. Walked the Mighty Mac which was an amazing experience. Loved the way the cabin was decorated. The only suggestion we would have is putting some slip resistant Tape in the claw foot tub. Very slippery and there is nothing to hang onto to assist you」

「Average stay for a vrbo (per our experiences). Nice partial view of the lake. Very quiet area. Older home kept up nicely. Beds could be a little better and was not able to use the jacuzzi tub. Other than that, everything was good.」

「My family and I had a wonderful time. The house felt secluded but you are in driving distance of everything. The property was clean. The beds felt hard at first but we all slept great. I was able to check out the little stream behind the house, but it didn’t have too much water yet. My dog really enjoyed it as well. Thank you for letting us take a little break from life to enjoy the view and stay. We appreciate it!」

「This is our second time staying at this property and we love it! The house is right across the road from Paradise lake and has a pier and kayaks that can be used. The house is very comfortable and remotely located. However, you are still close to Mackknaw City and the ferry to Mackinac Island. It is so peaceful and quiet. We have seen and heard loons both times we have stayed here. We hope to come back again in the future.」

「We came to this lovely beachside home for a babymoon and had a great time! The house had everything we needed and the location was perfect to head to Mackinac Island for a day or go into Mackinaw City to beat the heat at the movie theatre. The house number can be a little difficult to read as you arrive, but trust your GPS, it'll take you to the right spot!」

「This is a very nice older cabin close to both Cheboygan and Mackinaw City. Nicely decorated and full of antiques, books and knickknacks. Diane was very helpful in suggesting restaurants and things to do. The cabin is accurately described. The bike trail is right across the road. Good view of the lake although I wish it had a patio or deck. Don’t let the dogs discourage you; they bark occasionally but are quite friendly. I recommend staying here.」

「The house was clean and comfortable with a beautiful view of the lake and the bridge. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch overlooking the lake and having a full kitchen. On the negative side there was a distinct gas odor in the garage and I would have liked to have extra garbage bags and a few dish towels. I would definitely stay there again!」

「I want to start off by saying we did not feel unsafe at all! Some of these reviews are dramatic. It is behind an older hotel but it’s not scary and no one is going to get you. Cabin was new and clean. The door lock batteries died and we couldn’t get in but they came out to fix it within 5 minutes. I messaged the host on here a couple times and didn’t get any reply back so communication wasn’t that great. I would suggest to add a full length mirror, hooks for towels and a broom for indoors.
