Book a Kobe Shinzaike Station Resort

The Oriental Hotel was very comfortable and attractive with lovely views of the bay or mountains. The staff were extremely helpful, pleasant and overall very charming. The location is in the upscale shopping district and next door to a museum and attached to Barney's New York. The food was really quite good both in the restaurant and room service. I loved the Japanese breakfast! Unlike the Mandarin Oriental in Tokyo, the Oriental Hotel is very generous and you are allowed a set breakfast and...

Clean, spacious, and luxurious breakfast each morning. Nice views and a good location.

What a great place... Everything was great! As a ryokan, the room was Japanese style, no shoes. The staff was not very conversant in English...enough to get by... and it could NOT have been better. The onsens were fantastic, eating in our yakatas a true experience. At dinner, the staff knew about our allergies and dislikes. The unbelievably wonderful waitress from Vietnam (I foolishly didn't get her name.) assured us at the beginning of our multi course meal that she and they would take care of...

Staying here was very pleasant. After checking in, we reserved one of the private baths (Reservations are for 45 minutes, and one reservation can be made at a time,) and headed down to the town to walk around. The walk from the hotel to the station at the bottom/central area of town is about ten or fifteen minutes. The town has small shops with local treats, but we only walked around it for two hours and felt like we weren't missing anything major. The private baths are in their own secluded...

All good as usual in this hotel

Very near to Sannomiya Station. Easy access to tourist attractions and plenty of places to dine. The room was spacious and comfortable and the breakfast buffet was delicious with many options. Great choice for families.

Loved this property and onsen! After spending the last two weeks walking all over Tokyo this was a wonderful way to relax! Part of the onsen is outside and overlooks the water. The harbor and Chinatown make it a great area to explore.

I like the onsen

The hotel should give notice to guests at reservation how to take shuttle bus from either bus station or train station to the hotel as the hotel is on a hill.

Hotel Goshobo truly envelops you in the history and tradition of a Ryoukan. The staff are super serious about their presentation and very very friendly. A stay here even for a single night is highly recommended.

After staying down the hill in Kobe for a week, Arima was a magical retreat. The hotel has multiple private bathing rooms, each with two tubs, different waters in each tub, and traditional onsen squat showers. The rooms were reasonably sized with somewhat hard but comfortable beds. A very Japanese experience.

Great place to stay. Huge shopping mall only a 5 minute walk away.

Great

Staff was amazing

Staff was incredibly helpful, location is perfect

Excellent location. Unique hotel with impressive design. Extremely clean. Ocean view rooms are worse the price. Very accommodating staff. The breakfast buffet is excellent and appealing to everyone.

We loved how clean and efficient everything is. It has tons of dining and eating options, konbinis, and high end brands and low cost/affordable shopping options. The harbor is Less than 10 min away and the subway and transportation to visit other areas is within walkable distance. I totally recommend it!

Pros: Super friendly staff, really nice area, easy access to the train station, movies on-demand are free, free wifi. Cons: For Club Rooms, the mini-bar should be free of charge. I will definitely come back!
