"First, the good stuff. Excellent staff, most helpful with a late arrival due to a stranded connecting flight, and with a late checkout. Good food and drinks, and service to go with it. The not so good... The WiFi was hopeless. Virtually unable to connect to a speedy and/or reliable signal. Our own phone data was also hard use inside the hotel - but we would get multiple notifications as soon as we stepped outside. Bathroom... I get 'mood lighting' in the lounge room but why have it in the bathroom? I craved a bright light to shave, my wife the same for makeup etc. Also, having a sliding door on the toilet was a great idea but with no handle on the inside, it's difficult to open, especially in the middle of the night, particularly with jet lag and NO BRIGHT LIGHTS. We liked the hotel, a lot of the big things worked great, it's the silly little stuff that bothered us. We'd love to come back and stay again"

"This was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff were attentive and spoke excellent English. The room was comfortable with a beautiful view of the Bund. Breakfast was an excellent buffet. Jude, the concierge, was extremely helpful in making us a dinner river cruise reservation, even traveling with us to the site of debarkation to assure we made it onto the boat. The hotel provided 6 bottles of water to us per day. An excellent experience overall at a very reasonable price!"

"The staff at reception Nicole was there throughout our stay she kindly gave us a free early check and in and was so nice and patient with us. The room was wonderful the view was gorgeous - please please get the river side view it’s worth every penny. If I go again will stay here again!"

"The tiles in the bathroom is slippery , falling hazard. So must put the small rubber suction provided which cant cover all. The hotel should treated the flooring with some fiction condition. Mold grown around the side of the shower bath room flooring in room 2013. We have the bund room view which has.a nice view. YU YUAN METRO Line 10 AND 14 at door step. Nice bath tub but bring your own bath salt or foam.. standing rain shower is cool. Like the shampoo, conditioner and body soap. Breakfast is fine. Mattress is relatively soft.. nice carpet.. Queen size bed dont feel queen size cannot squeeze 2 grown adult like a slightly big super single size."
