"We were warmly greeted by front desk staff and were surprised and delighted to be offered a complimentary 5 PM happy hour of wine, cheese, and grapes. The room was clean, quiet, modern, and comfortable. There were two large seating areas available in the poolside courtyard, both very lovely and well maintained. The hotel is conveniently located near many food options. The complimentary breakfast buffet was varied, delicious, and there was an attentive staff member there to make sure that the area was tidy and that fresh food was available."

The property itself is stunning, with world class amenities that make it hard to leave: multiple pools, ocean view lounges, spa, and maintained walking paths . The only caveat depending on which villa you're in, you may have a bit of hill to walk. That said, the resort has golf carts to escort guests to their villas (especially handy after a couple of drinks). All in all, Bacara delivers a 5 star experience with warmth, privacy and personalized service. "
