"Location is great. A very short walking distance to both sides of the Royal Mile and within walking distance of Princes Street over the North Bridge. There are many eateries around the hotel featuring cuisines from all over the world at more affordable prices than at the castle end of the Royal Mile.For those on a budget Piemaker across the road has excellent pies. Quality pie and softdrink for just under 5 pounds. There is a small Sainsburys a few steps from the hotel.Try the sweet Scottish strawberries and raspberries in July. An efficient laundrette is situated on Jeffery.Street off the Royal Mile at Canongate.Howeve the standout feature of this hotel for me were the friendly, helpful staff. I am glad I am stayingvthere again mid July."
