The area around the Peace Park feels very sad and poignant. The Museum is brutally truthful and everyone should visit. The shopping area is good and a visit to Anderson's bakery is a must! A day trip to Miyajima Island is definitely worth it!

Hiroshima has a lot to offer, including fresh seafood, great restaurants, and sight-seeing such as Miya Island. You can even take a day trip to Yamaguchi city that was featured as one of 52 places to visit in 2024 by The New York Times.

Hiroshima is a place I think we must all try and visit in our lifetime. It is emotional and lovely. What happened there and how the city and its people have overcome that tragedy makes it special. Miyashima island is stunning

Fantastic modern city that has arisen from the ashes. Easy to get around and a good base to travel around. If you are interested in military history, visit Kure (45 minutes by local train) and see the Yamamoto museum

"Mitsui Garden doesn't dissapoint. While this particular hotel was not as grand as the one in Taiwan where I stayed previously, the brand is something that I will always consider. I like the idea that there's a guest lounge where you can relax outside of the room. Light snack is offered but don't expect much. Breakfast is sufficient .Overall, it was a comfortable accomodation.
