"The hotel was selected for ease of transit from terminal 5 in the late afternoon, to rest overnight then depart on an early morning flight from terminal 3.
The walk from terminal 5 to 3 was very long and hardly signposted, so difficult to find and tiring after a long day of travel.
The check in was alright but not so welcoming.
The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable with crisp cotton linens, so a nice room for one night’s rest but on a low floor with a large wall outside the window.
And after the hotel ads promote runway views and great location, we experienced neither.
We had a very late dinner in the restaurant, (soup, fish & chips and a caesar salad) which was on a low floor, so had no view whatsoever. The food was quite good and the service, although a little slow was friendly and efficient.
Would we stay there again? Perhaps, but we’ve had much better experiences at the ring road hotels, which will likely be our choice next time. Getting to the hotel would be the reason why we’d stay elsewhere, not the hotel itself."
