「This cottage was the perfect place for a weekend getaway in the Charlottesville area! It has a nice secluded feel and yet is close to wineries, grocery stores, etc. We were not bothered at all by the train or cars on 250. The house itself is even more charming than in the pictures with carefully selected touches for a tea room vibe. It was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Mary was very responsive to questions and all instructions were very helpful. I would definitely love to return!」

「As my decades-ago college roommate and I met up to spend time together at this beautiful property, the setting was perfect. The setting is gorgeous, with a gentle stream, running alongside it, plenty of birds up in the nearby woods, and nice spaces outside to sit and enjoy nature. We even sat outside one evening on the porch to watch an incoming thunderstorm, and it was magical.The amenities in the home reflected deep and thoughtful consideration of what guests might need. 「Loved staying at the Birds and Bees Cottage. It was so peaceful waking up each day, sitting on the porch and enjoying the views of the farm. This cottage was the perfect spot to unwind after visiting some local wineries. It was quiet and very easy to relax on the porch with a good book in the evening. Hope to return in the fall. 」

「Our stay was very enjoyable. The property had everything and more to keep us comfortable and entertained. We had 12 on our trip ages ranging from 2 to 72 and everyone was happy. 」

「The Plainfield Cottage is a perfect getaway. We came in for a graduation and were quite busy. However, each time I stepped into the cottage, it felt peaceful, bright and clean. A great retreat to unwind and relax at. Cathy was very attentive on any needs we needed, as there were few because it was well stocked.」

「A friend and I stayed at this fine cottage over the weekend. We came to do some astrophotography at Big Meadows and didn’t feel like camping with our photography gear. So we stayed at this Cottage. Beds where comfortable, there was bottles of water in frig for us, kuerig coffee , and a box of chocolate chip cookies for us to eat. It was a very clean place easy to relax in. I could tell the details matter to this host. I will definitely recommend this place to family and friends looking...

「This was a family gathering to celebrate a UVA graduation. We wanted to stay away from the craziness of Charlottesville. This house was perfect! Everyone in our party raved about how cute, comfy, well laid a house it is! Very well stocked - PLENTY of wine glasses! lol We hit 4 wineries and a brewery (2x) during our stay - all with/in a 5 mile radius! We would highly reccomend and would stay again - for longer - in the future! 」

「What a view! We enjoyed our stay at 3100 feet. It was worth the ride on the unpaved path to the top! We had a comfortable and peaceful time, staying very comfortably at the top of the world. Hosts are lovely and friendly. Had car trouble, and the nearby car repair helped us while we waited. Loved our place! Thank you!」
