"We spent 2 nights in our first visit to Kiso-Fukushima and we had a wonderful time at this onsen. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. The breakfast and dinner were great as well. If you’re looking for a down to earth experience I’d suggest this Onsen. We will be back…"

"A chilled space with gorgeous food and very accommodating staff."

"Beautiful vista, food was great (strongly recommend doing a dinner reservation AND a breakfast reservation) owner was extremely kind and generous. He spoke better English than I spoke Japanese, which made it extremely easy to meet in the middle. 10/10 experience."

"Amazing place. "

"Perfectly adequate for our needs. No frills but usual amenities available, clean, and staff were helpful."

"A real honor to be able to experience this ryokan ! The room had a private Onsen which was already full and ready for us to use when we arrived. Everything was clean and comfortable The food and breakfast also very delicious So lucky we got to stay here during our trip and we experienced Narai Juku before all tourists came to sight see . Certainly a highlight"

"Great hostel"

"For what I paid, it was good value. The bathroom was a bit small and hard to bath in if you are used to North American size bathrooms."

"Comfortable hotel in a stunning location The outdoor onsen was very nice "

"I came with little expectations, but was really pleased with this hotel. The outdoor onsen is really nice. The corridor is a bit noisy when someone walks by. Some dust and spider webs in the top shelfs but nothing really bad"

"Was a very nice hotel to stay at. I was pleasantly surprised by some of the amenities and loved that you could wear your yukata for your entire stay. A very comfortable and relaxing stay."

"Really nice and clean hotel. Staff was very friendly. "

"Toilet is too small. My pee is out of target."

"Absolutely wonderful location, amenities and staff!"

"Interesting stay. Had fun lighting the fire and cooking our food over it."

"Had a pleasant stay."

"A wonderful dinner was included in our stay. The chef came out to explain each dish. There is an outdoor bathtub that is amazing."
