「I had an amazing stay」

「Untrained staff, yes it’s an old hotel but be wary and don’t talk loud in the hallways. The hotel boasts a bar, but there was an event.. so no one else could get a drink? That doesn’t seem like it would be hard to manage. They bombard you with upgrade offers before you go.. staff isn’t friendly. The hotel is curated well as far as bohemian surf vibe, very clean.. but the senior level staff must know they have you by the b@lls when on Block Island.」

「This is a cute, simple, right on the ocean location. Everyone was nice. Its no frills, but cozy and cute. My view of the ocean was great and I was comfortable for a two-day trip.」

It’s generally clean, bedspreads don’t match the old curtains still hanging, pleather couch and chair in room. The beds were comfortable though. 「I thought I had booked a room with a kitchen when I made the reservation. However, when I arrived, I found that the room did not have a kitchen. I asked the lady at the front desk and she immediately responded. She was very kind and I was able to spend 3 wonderful days there. I highly recommend this facility!」

「Hotel Maria is a real gem- low-key beach front, impeccably clean with a wonderful Italian restaurant right there overlooking the beach. I happened to meet the owner and he was incredibly gracious and welcoming. The hotel staff were so accomodating to all that we needed. The breakfast & snacks and beverages they offer complimentary are a game changer and make the stay that much more relaxing. 「Loved being able to walk to the town. But just far enough away to be quiet, which can be a problem in BI. The small bar in the Atlantic, on the same premises was friendly, quaint and the drinks were good! We could see the ocean from our room.」

「Lovely people running the place. It’s right on the beach. They gave us a free upgrade, so we had a large room with a balcony that looked out onto the ocean. Great deal for the price!」

「The Blue Dory Inn is a historic B&B within walking distance to the ferry and with its own beach access. The rooms were well appointed and very clean. Ann and her staff were very friendly. Evening wine and snacks and breakfast made this a great deal. Would stay here again for sure.」

「We stayed at the hotel because we had a weekend wedding in South Kingstown. Everything was great. Room was very clean, staff very friendly and the beds were so comfortable! Breakfast was very good too. And since we had to bring our Shih Tzu, it was also a huge plus that the hotel is pet friendly. We highly recommend the hotel if you plan to stay in the South Kingstown/Narragansett area.」
