Very helpful and gracious staff. The 1661 properties include many separate inns and beautiful grounds. Loved seeing the impressive Farm across the way, with the various animals. Good place to base your exploration of the island. The breakfast was delicious and expansive!

We stayed in the Edwards room which was amazing. Second floor corner room with amazing views. This is our second stay here and we will definitely be back. The staff was amazing, the breakfast was great and cheese and crackers and wine every night at 4pm was a nice way to end the day

1661 Inn is a really amazing place.Year after year we see the same kind faces. It makes us feel at home.The summer interns are fun, too. The property is beautifully kept, the ocean views are just wonderful. The Farm is a delight and I love visiting the animals. Having said all that, the people of 1661 are what truely make this place special, from the owner Rita and her family to the front desk and especially the breakfast staff. Always smiling and offering help, wonderful people. Thank You!

A weekend getaway in the Simon Ray room. It did not disappoint. Comfy, cool with a great deck and views. Champagne brunch was a really nice touch with amazing creamy fresh from the farm eggs! A trip we will definitely repeat! Thank you 1661. It was the perfect getaway for an overworked couple needing a quiet break. :)

What an amazing property! Although our room didn’t have a view, it was hard to escape the ocean view across the beautiful grounds. There were many seating areas to sit and enjoy. The landscaping was beautiful with many varieties of flowers in bloom. The breakfast buffet was ample and varied, plenty to appeal to any appetite, and a bargain compared to other breakfast buffets. The room and general Inn were spotless. The shuttle to the ferry was a nice perk. We even got to visit the farm and its’ animals. The staff were extremely helpful with recommendations from beaches to bike rentals. We would highly recommend this property!

1661 is a great hotel. It is the kind of place that is homey and calm, an escape from the fast past that can be at block. The staff is caring and very professional. The inn keeper makes each stay personable and welcoming. We have stayed here before and we will again!

We love the 1661 for many reasons and now there is more to love. The addition of the gym and sauna as well as the expanded farm are great additions. The only suggestion I have is to use wd 40 on the doors so that when you close a door it doesn't creak and squeak. The insulation between rooms is minimal and I could hear doors closing and opening all night.

The 1661 Resort is hands down my favorite place to stay on Block Island. The views are absolutely breathtaking. It's also far enough from the downtown bars and crowds that you can truly relax and enjoy the peace and quiet, while still being just a short walk or bike ride away from everything. The resort is beautiful, and the recent updates to the farm and the new spa and fitness area across the street make it even better. Everything feels fresh, thoughtfully designed, and adds to the overall experience. I can't wait to come back!

A piece of Heaven right here at the 1661 Inn. All staff were helpful, polite and very pleasant. Everything you can imagine for breakfast, and it was all delicious. The view from the deck off of our room was breathtaking. Our champagne and cookies were waiting for us which was a great way to start off our fun time on the Island.
