「Excellent」

「It was my worst experience in a hotel for my wife and me. 1) the room smelt really bad from mildew, ask for another room but they didn't have one. The staff gave me a bottle of odor eliminator, but it only made the room smell worse. They said it happens when it gets hot out. 2) The room was so humid that when I took a bottle of cold was out of my cooler there were large drops of water forming on the bottle within minutes. Everything in the room felt damp. 3) The AC didn't remove the humidity...

「Room had mold smell. Mold on the closet door. Bathroom was had dirty around the floor board. Carpet in the room need a real good cleaning. The swimming pool was out of order. On a good note breakfast is nice.」

「This property has been renovated with nice furnishings. Good lighting in the spacious room. The bathroom door needed to be upgraded, it’s probably on the list to finish the remodel. Breakfast was good. Beautiful lobby and nice Mexican restaurant with bar is onsite. The staff was outstanding!」

「Kudos to this property. It has been a long time since I have been to a hotel that was thoroughly clean. The entire hotel smelled, looked and felt clean. For someone with OCD, this was a huge plus. This will be where I stay everytime I visit my niece in college.」

「Good room and breakfast」

「I like that it is located in Carlinville. It was comfortable and staff was very friendly. I would have liked either juice or milk for breakfast instead of only coffee.」

「There was plenty of parking. The helpdesk at the very beginning seem to be very helpful. And friendly. Once we got into the room at all went downhill. It smelled dirty and moldy. The AC was absolutely the loudest thing I’ve ever heard in my life the fan in the bathroom same situation was so loud. We were in room 205 in case you wanna have a look at it. Just the smell from the room itself. It smelled like I was afraid I was gonna die to mold poisoning I’ve been in a lot of hotels. I’ve traveled...

「Cheap and clean just needed a nap from traveling」

「The castle was perfect! My son was getting married and the groomsmen and their ladies all spent the weekend there. The bridal party took their wedding photos there. Amazing place! Very fun! Property is lovely!」

「The house it self was great! Great location, clean with decent size rooms. But the beds were too soft and didn’t provide neck or back support. And the bathroom in the closet isn’t very functional. Everyone in our family is tall and there was no leg room. The hosts were great with communication and gave clear instructions.」

「The downtown Alton location is cozy, quiet, and comfy. It is just a few blocks from excellent food and shops on the riverfront. The apartment is cozy and we cooked a meal there every day over the week stay. Love the bathroom!」

「Oh my word this place is incredible. Bed was comfortable great location and the original aspects of the old building brought up to date with modern convenience. I think Jennifer and I will be getting more acquainted because I have a hard time finding a decent place to stay when I come to my hometown to visit. Carlinville is good little town close to my hometown and made attending my best friends wedding in Gillespie a breeze. We will be back.」

「The house is beautiful. A very comfortable stay. It was very clean and well stocked with anything you might need. The host is very gracious. She was quick to respond to any request and reached out to us when we left something behind. We were able to retrieve it before leaving town. It was a lovely place to stay. Highly recommended.」
