"This place is the best place to stay when visiting Decatur Il. Clean. friendly, good breakfast selection, quiet, and the most friendly staff. And the price is so reasonable. We always come back here. Just wonderful. "

"The elevator was a rough and scary ride. Just 3 floors. It had no inspection label that is required by law. The window in the room would not close tight-the wind whistled through the entire stay. The complimentary breakfast was empty with 2 hours left and no one around to fill it. Will not stay there again."

"I answered into the lobby and there was a stale strong marijuana smell in the building. I went to the counter and rang the bell, and the guy came out from under the desk - yes it is as weird as it sounds. The motel is seriously rundown.. . Multiple humidifiers in the hallway near the rooms. The room was semi-clean however, when I moved the TV, there was a liquid underneath the TV stand . . Seriously this is what was there. I placed towels at the bottom of the door and had to keep the bathroom door. Closed to keep the marijuana smell out of the room.. My room was not smoking, and a matter of fact the entire hallway was not smoking. I do not do not do not recommend this hotel to anyone. I would give it straight zeros if possible."

"Short quick stay. Only complaint they need to change their shampoo and conditioner or just bring your own. Staff was great always friendly be nice if they provided yogurt and some fruit with their breakfast. Love their coffee machine."

"Huge house, lots of games and common areas. Host communicated promptly. Cleanliness could be improved and the kitchen amenities for cooking could be improved as well. Overall it a pleasant stay. "

"Staff was super friendly and helpful, breakfast was really good, the room was clean and spacious. We did have a broken blackout shade (it wouldn’t go up or down but since it was already down that worked out okay and the staff put in a maintenance request to have it fixed. "

"What a beautiful and wonderfully appointed stay right on the lake. The host was so accommodating answering all questions so quickly. What a relaxing and enjoyable stay. "

"Couch needs to be replaced or deeply cleaned instead of just putting cover over cushions, layer of dust on top of fridge, inside fridge dirty, dishwasher dirty and old, dishes sticky and dirty in cabinet, not given pots/pans/sponge/dishwasher soap, toilet seat broken (had to be careful not to slip off when sitting down, carpets filthy, pull out sofa awful and extra sheets and pillow had definitely not been washed, toilet hadn’t been cleaned and was clogged whole time, layers of dirt in corners in variety of places, trash cans dirty, mattress stained and uncomfortable, sticky remote, had to ask for wifi. I get that this wasn’t a ritzy place but CLEANLINESS should never been an issue in a hotel. This place takes no pride in cleanliness, cuts corners, does lower than pure basics. Someone knocked on my door at 9:30am to see if we were still there, check out isn’t until noon. Breakfast was decent. Don’t stay in this dump. They won’t have my hard earned money again. "
