" Clean rooms great service..breakfast was good"

"Staff were rude when checking in, the rooms hadn’t been cleaned. There were ants all over the desk in one room, and rubbish on the floor. I don’t know if they are also long leasing out rooms, but some other ‘tenants’ were noisy until around 1am running up and down corridors and shouting. "

"Staff all very friendly. Our food, both our evening meal and breakfast were both lovely. The one downside for me was that even though we had a late check out at 12, my husband had gone on to work and at 10:30am my door was opened by a man who announced he was there to do housekeeping. I’d read in a previous review that another lady had the exact same thing happen to her. I’m thankful I had the chain lock on or I would have been put in a very compromised position! Better communication between reception and when people have checked out needs to be done. It unnerved me and I checked out early..!"

"Continental breakfast was good and staff were very helpful. The rooms are a bit outdated, stayed in a double room on the ground floor. And they do need to dust the furniture in the room. Bathroom was modern looking and clean like it had a refurbishment. Staying on the ground floor was a bit noisy at times with doors closing etc and hearing the bar and staff entrance door opening and closing. Overall good values for money and nice to have Co-op and Tesco nearby. Plus the Italian restaurant right next door was a lovely place for an evening meal."

"Just as described. Lovely location with hot tub, plus log fire and everything needed and on hand to use it, tea & coffee facilities and milk in the fridge. Just ensure you know the lodge number before arrival, as our booking confirmation didn’t say, so had to call/text and wait for response. Would definitely stay again and recommend. Perfect for a one-night stay occasion, as many have a 2-night minimum stay booking."

"The wardrobes were poor but apart from that everything was good. The bedroom onto the patio and hot tub can’t be accessed from the main house which means you have to go outside and downstairs to enter. Not a problem to us but should be noted. The ho tub was excellent and we all really enjoyed ourselves The only thing I didn’t like was that you can’t telephone anyone to confirm anything"

"Room was 5 star. Amenities fantastic. Great hosts. Quiet, spacious. Abundance of Tea, coffee, water, shower gel etc. Best stay ever. Will definately visit again. "

"We had a really nice stay, the house is spacious, plenty of sheets etc and they provided milk which was a nice touch.We had a real issue with flies on the evening - I understand the proximity to the water but given how stuffy the living room was we needed the door open - could they consider a screen perhaps to allow some ventilation?Otherwise lovely spot with some nice local walks and a nearby town. Thank you for having us."
