"I had a very comfortable stay at the Mandarin Oriental Pudong. The rooms are spacious, the beds are extremely comfortable, and breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety and consistently high quality. Service throughout was outstanding – attentive, professional, and always helpful. Transport was the only real challenge. There’s no metro nearby, and during peak hours many taxi drivers don’t want to cross the river. I found the ferry to be the best option – quick, reliable, and a nice way to get across. Overall, the hotel delivers on luxury and service. If comfort, great food, and top-class hospitality are your priorities, it’s an excellent choice."

"Excellent hotel, nice large rooms, with probably the largest bed I have ever slept in. Huge buffet breakfast and evening meals. If you want a seafood extravaganza, this is the place for you. The hardest part is choosing what to eat. All for a very reasonable price, so much choice. Beer and soft drinks included. The only negative for me was that I was unable to find a gin and tonic at the hotel. Taxis are surprisingly cheap. 70 minute rides for only 200 yuan. Recommend visiting the waterfront for the light shows in the evening. And a 10 yuan taxi ride to Fifty-Two Bar. Excellent views and atmosphere."
