「Wanted to love this place because it was rated so high but didn’t meet our expectations. The staff were very friendly but the cottages were smaller and a little more run down than I expected. During our stay, we dealt with ants inside the unit, cable not working, smoke alarms going off while we boiled water, outlets not working and a super lumpy bed. Also, the bathroom is tiny so I wouldn’t recommend for larger guests.」

「The staff was great. Very friendly and accommodating with our early arrival and letting us drop off our luggage so we could explore Catalina until our room was ready in the early afternoon. Also a great location for the places in town we like to visit. One bonus is a nice third floor roof top gathering spot. A great 360° view of downtown Avalon. It’s an older property with a very interesting history. It is not the Ritz, but if you like warm, funky and clean accommodations, I highly recommend.」

「No ac」

「The morning breakfast was simple but nice. The location was wonderful and the Metropole Marketplace had a cute tourist and coffee shop as well as a bowling alley that served food and a hotdog and hamburger place. The staff was helpful and proactively asked if we needed any advise regarding the island. The only critique I would have would be that the AC was kind of loud and had to be set very low to keep running. Fortunately my wife and I like it cool to sleep.」

「Stay was great will stay again clean property and friendly staff」
