The front staff was so helpful and nice. First impression the hotel looks beautiful. Although the hotel is on the older side it is still pretty neat the rooms bed feels clean. Could use newer furniture😅

We were in one of the tiny cottages just off the main building. The cottage was slanting at a 10 degree angle and the place is just kind of like a flophouse to crash. Bathroom was so tiny. Carpets needed to be cleaned and overall better to spend a hundred more a night and upgrade- but it’s ok for a cheap place if you are out all day and just need a place to crash.

The hotel was great there was No Cups to drink out of, No Floor towels for after shower, not enough wash cloths. I wish we could have had a room with alittle more space and a better view and would be able to check in earlier, and a vendor machine with snacks. Over all the Property was great and we would stay here again hopefully these changes will be done.

The view was nice and the staff as well but everything else was not good. The shower curtain was yellow and mildewed and since it’s a vintage style tub, the curtain goes all the way around you. I don’t even like my own shower curtain at home touching me! And forget about your fantasy of taking a bath in a clawfoot bathtub, it’s been reglazed multiple times and is chipping at the bottom. The bedroom still has old, dark-blue, thick carpet so no way of knowing how clean it actually is. There are stairs everywhere so if you or anyone in your party is elderly or handicapped forget about enjoying the little courtyard. The broken and boarded up jacuzzi is still there. For such a well known hotel, I’m surprised the owners couldn’t at least replace the carpet with flooring, replace some shower curtains, add some ramps and just spruce it up a bit.

I had a very tiny room. The minute you walked in the room the bed was right there and you could’ve rolled from your bed to the sink. The shower is super tiny and it takes forever to have hot water come out. I could hear the next door guest snoring and I could hear the people above me talking all night. There are no amenities included for the high price that you pay.

We came to the island for a mother daughter weekend away. The hotel was very clean. The beds were comfortable, and the staff friendly and the view amazing. No frills accommodations for a great price. Would definitely come back and stay here again!

So they used to have a continental breakfast in the hotel lobby with coffee, cereal, waffles etc. they have done away with everything there’s not even a coffee pot in the lobby so you literally have to walk all the way down the hill to the closest coffee shop very inconvenient at 6 o’clock in the morning

Very close to boardwalk. We’re only staid a night. Friendly customer service, and the room very was clean. The room had everything we needed for the one night. I can highly recommend this hotel and we will be back.

Excellent choice for a one-night stay at Catalina Island. Very well located, close to the boardwalk. The staff was amazing and helpful. The room was cozy and clean. Would definitely stay there again.

If I could give 0 stars I definitely would. Do NOT stay here unless you wants bugs all over you. We stayed in the cottage for 3 nights. On the first night there was a spider but we did not think anything of it. On the last night we took a closer look after 3 jumping spiders appeared on the wall and ceiling . the room was INFESTED. Multiple jumping spiders on the walls and the floor. We got bit all over our legs and arms. I'm assuming the bugs were crawling in through the gaps in the doors and windows nothing was properly sealed. When we called the front desk and let them know the issues that we were having they told us to come down and see them so we did and the front desk told us that her manager was off and they will get back to us, but we decided that we couldn't stay in the room any longer we checked out three hours early. The lady at the front desk told us that her manager was off today and that she will get back to us. We have yet to hear anything regarding a refund or a solution. We booked our room through Expedia and we sent them the pictures. Expedia said that they would offer a full refund but they couldn't because the hotel does direct booking. We have not hear back call from the hotel or the manager . I do not recommend staying here. I’ve also tried calling the hotel multiple times and I’m being hung up on.

This is an affordable place in a great location. They will let you leave luggage after your room has expired which is nice. We did have to wait 30 minutes to check in since no one was present at check in time. Overall no complaints really for the price.

Cute, charming hotel! Not sure if all showers are like this, but at least in our room, the shower temperature seemed to be backward or broken. Turning the handle to “cold” actually brought super hot water (too hot to shower in), and turning the handle to “hot” brought lukewarm water (also too cold to shower in).
