It was clean, beds are comfortable, and house is well stocked with necessities. Toby is a great and responsive host and kindly leaves you fresh food basics and drinks.」

「We had a very relaxing stay at the cottage and really enjoyed the deck and overall privacy. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, glasses, cutlery and pots and pans. It was a little unexpected that no shampoo or shower gel was provided, but there are plenty of stores within easy driving distance to buy anything you need. 「I would NEVER knowingly stay where I have to use an “outhouse”! No soap in outhouse. Very little cell service on Salt Spring Island; it took an hour to discover that the cabin was located BEHIND the host’s house down an unmarked back lane. There was no microwave just a BBQ. All water was outside. Thick bush meant lots of mosquitoes. Could not get gas fireplace to work. It was however very private and close to town. Windows were clean. Breakfast granola was scrumptious.」
