「First, the staff - all of them - at The Channings, were superior. Friendly, helpful, accommodating, and willing to go out of their way to help. You won't find better, imo. Next, The Channings is a lovely building, inside and out. Built in 1865 as a lavish home, it retains much of its original architectural beauty - plaster moldings, lovely staircase, beautiful floors, stained glass windows, and gorgeous woodwork. The beer garden is spacious and there's plenty of seating, though it's all picnic...

「A very nice hotel, the rooms at the rear of the hotel were former farm buildings which have been completely renovated. There is a wet room ensuite which is well appointed. The restaurant has a good choice of food which is excellently cooked and presented. The breakfast menu which has to be ordered the evening before was slightly confusing until I worked out that the price stays the same and you just tick your personal choices. Well sited and only 6 minutes from the Bristol Airport Silver Zone...
