"A lovely house right on the shore of Lake Como, we stayed for 3 nights. You rent half of the house and the owners stay in the other half, so it's a bit like a large gite. This is fine though as sometimes you need some help with the local amenities, but it's just not made clear in the listing. There's boat hire and a restaurant next door, and a delicatessen in the town at the top which is great. "The biggest challenge is finding it! But once you do, this turned into a memory of a lifetime. The host provided clear instructions (we drove, but it might be easier to take the lake water taxi to Blevio), and met us upon our arrival for an intro and to make sure we were settled. Very hard to describe, but it is an old dock converted into a studio room, with plexiglass on 3 sides. A round bed, small deck for outside dining, and even a secret trip door with access to the water and a place to park...
