「We had a wonderful stay at The View. The room was lovely, very spacious and overlooked the rolling hills, plus it was quiet. The staff were very friendly and attentive and breakfast was delicious and all cooked and prepared to order. We had one evening meal at the pub itself which again, we couldn’t fault. There is so much to do around the area and we will definitely be going back. A true gem of a find!」
「We stayed here for 1 night whilst touring the peak district on our motorbikes. Plenty of parking and security cameras to ensure a good night's sleep. Our room was very comfortable and decorated to a high standard. The shower was big with great water pressure. We had an evening meal which we would rate as excellent, plenty of very friendly staff and a short wait for our food. Breakfast the next morning was plentiful and varied. 「A tastefully and comfortably modernised pub in a somewhat downbeat village near the M1 and airport but surprisingly quiet. The M1 is white noise in the background. I couldn't hear the planes. Rooms in the pub's grounds were comfortable with parking right outside and the food was amazing, including breakfast. No soggy mushrooms! If I was a lone female traveller I would feel particularly safe here. Very happy that we broke our journey overnight and will definitely do so again. 」

"The staff were all very kind and friendly. I am Japanese and my English is not very good, but they treated me with great courtesy. The only thing that concerned me was that the shampoo was not replenished during my stay, though I believe it would have been resolved if I had simply asked."
