「This was a return visit to Waterfall cottage for us. It is so cosy and comfortable with walks accessible from the front door, and a few minutes drive away from Matllock but Bakewell and Chatsworth House are also nearby. Mrs Else is so welcoming and left us a super welcome pack and shared photos of how the cottages were built back in the 80s. We will definitely come back again but for a longer stay as there is so much to do and see.」

「The view is lovely and looks just like the pictures in the listing. However, the interior is a little tired and could use some updating (bedding was a bit shabby and the toilet flush was temperamental). The place is up a very steep hill and on a narrow lane. There is NO parking—a rusted out Mini is blocking what would maybe be a driveway—and the street parking is not close and you have to get your tires up on a high curb. Not ideal if you have a car or a lot of luggage.」

「Accomodation was larger than it looks in the photos, which was a nice surprise. The beds were comfortable, however I would take earplugs as I struggled to sleep due to the cars going past outside. I had to go and buy some from the town centre. At night the cars whizz past really fast. The listing states that there is free parking but this isn’t true- you have to pay for it.
