「Superb hotel. Perfect location at the edges of Cartmel. Decent sized rooms and a big building for the number of rooms so lots of space. Breakfast was really great - lots of choices including some unusual options (e.g courgette fritters) all cooked beautifully.」
「From the first welcome to the final farewell, it was a joy to stay there. Substantive breakfasts, pet friendly, old manor house setting with great views. Good choice of relatively local (less than 10 miles) public houses for evening fare. Already hoping to get back there when next visiting the Lakes, which start only six miles north.」

「Absolute Gem of a place, super clean, cosy and lovely little village Cark is, this was a great hub for me and my boy to do Scaffel whilst my wife and daughter took a train into Ulverston for the day "train station 2 min walk away". Definitely one the best kept places we have stopped in. Neighbours really friendly also :)」
「I was staying for one night and generally I can’t fault the hotel for its friendly staff, good food and the comfy bed. However I was in a single room, my choice, but the bathroom was far too small. Not sure what the other rooms are size wise, but don’t choose a single room. The TV on the wall was bigger!」
