"Lovely hôtel - perfect for Lake Windermere. Facilities in the hotel are great: there are even wellingtons you can borrow to do a woodland walk. The restaurant is fantastic with high quality food. The lounge and reception area have wonderful open fires which make it feel really cosy. Our feature room was fantastic and roomy."

"Absolutely beautiful hotel the staff was all very polite and welcoming me and my husband both loved the room very modern decor it was very clean and smelt lovely on arrival the spa bath in the room was perfect we stayed the Easter weekend we also had food and drinks downstairs in the restaurant the food was delicious and a fantastic range of drinks and cocktails we will definitely be returning again thank you for a fantastic stay "

"Very good a-la-carte breakfast. Nice location, close to the old town and few minutes walk from the train station. Complementary, delicious cookies in the room. Charming hotel and bedrooms, one issue is that water was dropping in the bedroom from the ceiling, from time to time. I notified the reception so I hope they fixed the issue. "

"The manager was helpful as the roller blind did not work properly and the retaining cable(s) had to be cut for the blind to drop and cut out the daylight. The evening meal was excellent."

"The Inn is welcoming. The car park is large. The staff are friendly. The room was comfortable and a nice size for 2 people and suitcases. The bathroom and room are clean. "

"A stopover on our way to Scotland - 4 or 5 miles from the M6. A warm welcome in the bar (and the beers) after battling the traffic on the M6 was just what I needed! We shared the fish platter which was great and finished off with a tasty pud. A good night’s sleep and an excellent cooked breakfast completed our night’s stay. All the staff were most helpful and friendly and the pub has lots of character. We shall call in again when travelling north!"

"The Sun is a fine hotel. Our room was comfortable if a bit small. The bonus was windows on two sides which meant more light and ventilation. The breakfast was good, but not outstanding. Overall the is a fine value for the price and I would use them again."

"Appartment was nicely equipped and cosy, pair this with regular cleaning and you get a nice experience. Only problem is beware of where you park!! There is no designated parking for guests, the only bays around are 2 hours maximim stay and traffix wardens are very active in the area."

"Staff at reception very friendly and informative. We had a beautiful view of the lake from our lodge and although we didn't take part it looked like there was lots of activities going on (this didn't disturb us) Our lodge was bigger than expected and clean Lots of cutlery and plates to use and a filter coffee machine which was a lovely touch. The property is easy to get to and a good base for exploring the area. "
