Windermere

"The house itself was loveley. Very clean and comfortable, and within a short walking distance of Windermere town centre. Ample parking for two cars. However, the house is located in a rather run down area of the town, next to a park where youths gathered in the evening. On two seperate evenings the house was pelted with eggs, and on one occasion an egg was thrown into the house through the open patio doors. We found this very disturbing, and it spoliled our holiday overall. We did not want to...

"This is a fantastic property only a short walk away from the ferry piers in Bowness. The property has excellent facilities with a modern kitchen open plan to living room, a games room with pool table and chest of board games and outside there is a badminton court, hot tub and sauna. The decoration has had a lot of attention to detail with things like ice machine, wine cooler and boiling water tap installed. Very comfy sofa. There are three double bedrooms all en-suite, with the master bedroom...

Top Windermere Hotel Reviews

Beech Hill Hotel & Spa

10/10 Excellent

"This is the second time we have stayed here, lovely hotel and friendly staff!"

Holly Lodge Guest House

10/10 Excellent

"My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights for a birthday get away. We came during storm Austen so the weather was wild but knowing we had a cosy beautiful room to come back to was great. The place is quirky and cosy and has everything you need. Big comfortable beds and lots of things nearby to do. We’d definitely return! Thank you ☺️"

Macdonald Old England Hotel & Spa

8/10 Good

"The location was great, and the hotel was fantastic. The rooms were clean, and the beds were very comfortable. However, the hotel’s email and advertisement stated that a restaurant and room service were available for ordering food. One evening, we tried to eat at the restaurant but were told that it was unavailable because they were busy catering for a large group. We also tried to order room service, but were told that they were too busy to take our order. Thankfully, there were plenty of places to eat around town, so we were able to go out for dinner instead. Apart from this disappointment with the food service, everything else was great, and we had a lovely stay."

Aphrodites Group

10/10 Excellent

"Upon checking in, staff welcome you and greet you along with taking your luggage. We arrived early and the staff on the reception rang housekeeping to check if our room was ready. Room was ready within 5 minutes of checking went to our room and it was so spotless and clean. The location isn’t far from bowness boating pier with easy access from local taxi companies and uber. Upon checking out the reception staff held our luggage for the day and due to the weather tried to locate an umbrella for us. 10/10 service would definitely recommend."
