"Cous Cous is a gem and I feel lucky I found it. It is located in the woods uphill from a non-touristy workaday fishing town. Each glampsite is beautifully furnished, very comfortable and has its own gas BBQ grill. Meals are served on your own patio or at the beautiful cafe onsite, your choice. Food is gourmet. What a meal! At night, the staff light a wood bonfire in the center of camp. They offer make-your-own S’mores on the menu. Wow! Service is impeccable. Staff was polite, respectful of my privacy and spoke American. The restroom and bathrooms are Japan-clean. Can’t ask for more. It’s off the beaten path, but it was a vacation from a vacation for me. "This was my first ryokan visit so take what I say with a grain of salt. First, the staff was very accommodating and nice. Their English was limited but they went out of their way to make sure we were welcome including coming to our room to show us how to set up our futon. Dinner was amazing with so many items. Here again, the staff took their time to show us the items. The room was also very nice and authentic - the floor was covered by tatami mats and we slept on futons which were very comfortable. "

"This accommodation is mixed good and bad. There are a few things that I was very happy with! It is only about a 5 minute walk from Yugawara JR station, the room itself was very nice (we booked a traditional Japanese style room) and in it there were hot water facilities for tea, private bathroom, AC and TV. The onsen is obviously brand new and is a very high standard. There is the option for private onsen which costs about 2800 yen for a 45 minute session and I would recommend it! There are a few things that were poor however. There was construction work ongoing during out stay which we were not told about either when we booked or at check-in. It seemed to only happen between 9am and 12 noon however it was very noisy and it did certainly make the stay less enjoyable (we had to leave during these times as it was so noisy). The hotel is very hard to get in contact with. They do not respond to Expedia messages and do not have an email. "このお値段でこのビューは破格です！口コミを見て清潔さに少々心配もありましたが、まあこのようなものだろうと思います。神経質な方は気になるかもです。 とにかくフロントのお姉さんがとても優しく丁寧でした！チェックアウト時間少し過ぎてしまったのですが、そのまま見送りしてくださいました。 今回は雨で朝日が見れなかったのと、美味しいと噂のごはんを食べれなかったのでまた来ようと思います。"
