Surprising fees at the end. Room not so clean. Crazy strong smells throughout the hallways in to the bedroom and sheets/blankets. I’d rather smell the marijuana than that strong odor. My dog couldn’t even settle in the first night til I asked for no scented sheets and blankets and pillows. Slapped another fee for the dog even tho he’s a service animal . Used to like it there, not so much anymore. Waited forever for stuff asked from the front desk. Had to walk down and tell the front desk myself after I made the call. Nothing super luxurious. I did like the one valet guy named Edgar. He made the stay bearable honestly. His smiles and how he goes out of the way to make you feel comfortable. The rest of the staff is ok. Just gonna stay somewhere nicer next stay but I tried to stay committed there but it’s just gotten worse. No furniture on balcony. What’s the point of the balcony then? Terrible view. Not so clean. Asked the housekeeping to come and the dirty stuff I saw in the shower was still there after she left. Not so clean and little bugs I saw here and there.

Great place to stay. Downtown LA and within walking distance to many restaurants, grand central market, crypto arena ect Hotel has a great gym pool library hall and amenities. Well worth it

Great location. Room was wonderful and big. Nice view of the boats and harbor. Wish our room could have been on a higher floor but regardless this is probably going to be our go to spot in Redondo.

I don't like the idea of not having any staff on site, to talk to anyone you need to go to the kiosk and request to FaceTime a rep. This complicates s lot more than you'd think. We did not end up staying bettee because the first room smelled so bad a raw sewage. All the pipe water traps had gone dry and sewer gasses had filled the room. We went to the kiosk to explain the problem, but because there are no people on site we had to wait 30-45 minutes for someone to walk to the property to check it out. She confirmed the issue and they moved us to another room, however, had not been and could not be cleaned (because therebis no on-site staff) and the air conditioner in this room was legit black from lack of service and the walls had mold on them because of this (I am an HVAC contractor, so i have experience in this matter). They did refund our money but that was a battle that took like 2 hours before they agreed and another week to get our money back. Also, you have to pay for parking which we were never told until after we checked in. And getting in and out of the parking lot is very difficult due to blind traffic.

Beautiful 100 year old hotel. If you're looking for atmosphere and convenience for downtown San Diego, this is a great choice.
